While Essie's top competitor, OPI has outshined Essie for years- Essie has finally had her breakthrough.
After comparing a response forum on http://forum.purseblog.com/nail-care/essie-vs-opi-566243.html, it is evident that avid nail polish users are starting to recognize Essie's polishes as top notch.
It has been said that her 'non-chip' formula has worked like a charm. Reviewers have all stated that the polish lasts at least three days without chipping, which is more than they can say for OPI- a company that has become a disappointment in comparison to Essie.
The bottles are cleaner and sharper, the brush is tinier- leaving no room for error and the colors are said to be softer and more accomodating and offers more of a selection. OPI, according to product reviews, chips instantly unless you are using a top coat and the brush is too thick- often clumping or ruining the polish in the bottle.
As a result, Essie's new 'non-chip' formula has put her on top and shining brighter than her summer colors!

What Grade Would YOU Give Essie's Summer 2011 Collection?
After viewing Karen's review of the collection on http://www.makeupandbeautyblog.com/product-reviews/if-essie-summer-2011-comes-calling-ill-be-at-the-beach/, she concluded that Essie's 'Color Me Braziliant' was worth a B+.
The collection is ready to mingle with the strappy sandals, despite a few streaks. Some of the shades were said to need more coats than usual, leaving some streaking and transparency.
Though the new collection may require a few extra coats, the polishes' are said not to chip within a full week! That's the kind of improvement we were looking for, Essie.
Even the lightest shade, Absolutely Shore has been a huge hit and has lasted a full week with minimal chipping.
Overall, with these edgy shades- an extra coat or two are completely worth the end result! Way to go, Essie. Hopefully these bold shades bond well with your strappy shoes!
