Essie Really Is Braziliant!

While Essie's top competitor, OPI has outshined Essie for years- Essie has finally had her breakthrough.
After comparing a response forum on http://forum.purseblog.com/nail-care/essie-vs-opi-566243.html, it is evident that avid nail polish users are starting to recognize Essie's polishes as top notch.

It has been said that her 'non-chip' formula has worked like a charm. Reviewers have all stated that the polish lasts at least three days without chipping, which is more than they can say for OPI- a company that has become a disappointment in comparison to Essie.

The bottles are cleaner and sharper, the brush is tinier- leaving no room for error and the colors are said to be softer and more accomodating and offers more of a selection. OPI, according to product reviews, chips instantly unless you are using a top coat and the brush is too thick- often clumping or ruining the polish in the bottle.

As a result, Essie's new 'non-chip' formula has put her on top and shining brighter than her summer colors!

What Grade Would YOU Give Essie's Summer 2011 Collection?

After viewing Karen's review of the collection on http://www.makeupandbeautyblog.com/product-reviews/if-essie-summer-2011-comes-calling-ill-be-at-the-beach/, she concluded that Essie's 'Color Me Braziliant' was worth a B+.

The collection is ready to mingle with the strappy sandals, despite a few streaks. Some of the shades were said to need more coats than usual, leaving some streaking and transparency.

Though the new collection may require a few extra coats, the polishes' are said not to chip within a full week! That's the kind of improvement we were looking for, Essie.

Even the lightest shade, Absolutely Shore has been a huge hit and has lasted a full week with minimal chipping.

Overall, with these edgy shades- an extra coat or two are completely worth the end result! Way to go, Essie. Hopefully these bold shades bond well with your strappy shoes!

April Showers Bring May Collections?

As the April showers come to an end, Essie makes yet another breakthrough with a new pallette that will surely put May flowers to shame. Color me Braziliant is a summer collection inspired by beaches, sand and everything else under the sun.

The collection includes six new bright, bold shades:
Super bossa nova, Meet me at sunset, Too too hot, Smooth sailing, Braziliant and Absolutely shore.
According to the responses at http://www.makeupandbeautyblog.com/daily-photo/essie-summer-2011-color-me-braziliant/, customers are loving the new collection and claim that it is perfect for summer.

If the weather hasn't inspired you yet, Color me Braziliant will surely lighten your mood- and your nails!

The palette as Essie describes is sizzling, upbeat, vibrant and hot! http://www.essie.com/latest-collection/. The bright selections certainly emphasize Essie's steps towards innovation as she breaks away from the typical soft shades. The beach inspired collection has readers and buyers ready for sandal season, forget the tans- fans are ready to show off these braziliant colors.

Surely, this collection will contrast and stir up competition with O.P.I's summer collection (previously mentioned in earlier postings). The bright shades from both brands will have customers in a rut as they battle between the the Texas heat (O.P.I) and the Braziliant weather (Essie). Who can survive the approaching summer heat? There is only room for one bold palette, which will you be wearing?

Will Essie's Spring Collection Empty your Wallet?

New arrival's typically indicate new prices, that being said- will Essie's spring collection empty the wallets of her loyal customers?

As seen on the official Essie website: http://www.essie.com/shop/french-affair-p-364.html
new bottles in the spring collection are selling at $8.00 per bottle plus tax and shipping.

For those of you that find this to be unreasonable for a bottle of nail polish, don't get discouraged yet!

After searching the web in hopes of a better deal, I came across a website: http://www.enailsupply.com/Essie-Spring-2011-Collection.aspx. This website offers thousands of nail polishes and brands at discount prices and shipping worldwide. A bottle from Essie's spring collection goes for $6.99! They also offer a great deal for a twelve bottle designer display for $74.95

http://www.amazon.com/ Has some fabulous deals as well, but their supply is selling fast. Offering the most popular colours in the spring collection, a four piece box set of mini nail polishes is being sold at the unbeatable price of $13.50- this deal is perfect for customers that just wish to sample the colours and only intend on using them during the spring season. Amazon is also offering a full bottle, six piece set for $36.98!

Local drug stores and hair salons carry Essie nail polish all year round, such as Wal Mart, Stoneridge, Tonic and many other stores in your local mall. Prices may vary, particularly at hair salons as they increase the prices to maximize their company's profit- however; drug stores and superstores tend to have the lowest prices in high-end products.

In comparison to Essie's competitor OPI, Essie has succeeded to outdo the large price tags on OPI's spring collection. According to http://www.salonsavings.com/category.asp?id=65&start=21, one bottle of OPI's Texas spring collection is selling at $8.99, and $6.99 in superstores and discount beauty supply websites.

As for all the loyal customers of Essie's nail polish, you won't be disappointed and beauty suppliers everywhere are doing their best to ensure your money is well spent!

Product

As we enter spring, Essie's new collection has been exposed and reviewed. The new collection includes 6 new colours, Coat Azure, Nice is Nice, French Affair, Topless & Barefoot, Sand Tropez and Kisses & Bisses.
http://www.essie.com/latest-collection/

Essie's spring collection includes
colours inspired by the warm weather approaching- the colours are soft pastels, differentiating from the harsh, cool winter collection. Essie's approach was to create a lovely spring collection that resembled a French vibe.
Notably, the four main
colours being recognized and blogged about by customers are the following:

According to Trincess, the "Official Polish Addict" with over 2,000 followers- Essie's spring collection is quite similar in comparison with previous colours, thus new features are absent. As Trincess compares the polishes, she notes Nice is Nice to be the most popular so far.

In this photograph, it is evident that Essie has neglected to illustrate much innovation:

Altogether, the collection is said to be lovely and perfect for spring.

Though Essie has little change from her own
colours, the spring collection has still managed to differentiate itself from main competitor- OPI. OPI's spring collection is filled with bright, bold sorbet inspired colours:

As clearly demonstrated, we see the Essie and OPI's spring collections contrast each other, which may or may not be a successful approach to beating competitors. The two collections have targeted to two different extremes, soft and harsh, pretty and bold etc.
